During the lessons, you’ll learn the Highway Code so that you can take the theory test at the automobile office in Geneva or any other Swiss town.
You can then begin the practical part of your training by taking driving lessons in cars, motorcycles and other motorized vehicles.

By passing this test, which is the second compulsory stage in obtaining a Swiss driving license for vehicles such as cars, motorcycles or scooters, you will obtain a learner’s permit valid for 24 months.
You therefore have two years to pass your driving test.

The theory course takes place in an organized and interactive way at the Lémanique driving school in Geneva.
It lasts a total of 4 hours, and takes place at our modern premises on Rue de Lyon 6 in Geneva.
We often spread the theory course over 4 days, i.e. 1 hour each day.
The idea behind this learning rhythm is to enable you to assimilate information gradually and maintain your attention throughout the course.
But of course, the frequency of lessons can vary according to your schedule and the times available.
Learning the theory of the Highway Code
In groups of up to 12 people, you’ll discover all the subtleties of the Highway Code through purely theoretical learning. Then, an interactive section will help you deepen your knowledge.
Interaction with other participants and the instructor
You’ll be able to ask questions, take part in discussions and take part in practical exercises. This exchange with the instructor and other students promotes a deeper understanding of the subjects covered.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions during the interactive part! A solid understanding of the theory will help you become a competent and responsible driver.
A mock theory exam to test your knowledge
To conclude the theory course, you will take a mock exam based on the official questionnaires for the Swiss Highway Code exams.
This will allow you to put yourself in real exam conditions and test your acquired knowledge. The mock test is then based on the normal theory test procedure, i.e. 60 minutes to answer 50 multiple-choice questions. You are allowed to make 15 mistakes to pass your theory test.
At the end, the mock exams will be corrected in class to give you feedback on your performance.
