First of all, it’s important to know that the theory course is not compulsory.
It’s optional, but highly recommended, as it helps you prepare for the theory test.
During this 4-hour course (in total), you will learn the basic rules and principles of road traffic, including priority rules, traffic signs and other important elements of road safety.
Through the explanations of a certified instructor, you will gain a better understanding of priority rules and the basics of driving. It’s an excellent course to help you prepare effectively for the Highway Code exam!
During the lessons, you’ll learn the Highway Code so that you can take the theory test at the automobile office in Geneva or any other Swiss town.
You can then begin the practical part of your training by taking driving lessons in cars, motorcycles and other motorized vehicles.
Good to know:
By passing this test, which is the second compulsory stage in obtaining a Swiss driving license for vehicles such as cars, motorcycles or scooters, you will obtain a learner’s permit valid for 24 months.
You therefore have two years in which to take the driving test.
