{"id":24056,"date":"2025-05-10T14:56:43","date_gmt":"2025-05-10T12:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ae-l.ch\/faq\/how-does-the-theory-course-work\/"},"modified":"2025-07-16T15:26:53","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T13:26:53","slug":"how-does-the-theory-course-work","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/ae-l.ch\/en\/faq\/how-does-the-theory-course-work\/","title":{"rendered":"How does the theory course work?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The theory course takes place in an organized and interactive way at L&#8217;auto-\u00e9cole L\u00e9manique in Geneva.<br\/>It lasts 4 hours in total, and takes place in our modern premises at Rue de Lyon 6 in Geneva.<br\/>We often spread the theory course over 4 days, i.e. 1 hour each day.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The idea behind this learning rhythm is to enable you to assimilate the information gradually and maintain your attention throughout the course.<br\/>But of course, the frequency of lessons can vary according to your schedule and the times available.<br\/>Learning the theory of the Highway Code<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In groups of up to 12 people, you&#8217;ll discover all the subtleties of the Highway Code through purely theoretical learning. Afterwards, an interactive section will help you deepen your knowledge.<br\/>Interaction with other participants and the instructor<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You&#8217;ll be able to ask questions, take part in discussions and take part in practical exercises. This exchange with the instructor and other students promotes a deeper understanding of the topics covered.<br\/>Good to know:<br\/>Don&#8217;t hesitate to ask questions during the interactive part! A solid understanding of the theory will help you become a competent and responsible driver.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Theoretical mock exam to test your knowledge<br\/>To conclude the theory course, you will take a mock exam based on the official questionnaires for the Swiss Highway Code exams.<br\/>This will enable you to put yourself in real exam conditions and test your acquired knowledge. The mock test is then based on the normal theory test procedure, i.e. 60 minutes to answer 50 multiple-choice questions.
